Yes, the band is named after the girl from Scooby-Doo.

In 1996, in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina, 3 high school friends started a garage band , completely by accident. Todd Brown (guitar/vocals) had started teaching his best friend, Allen Cheshire, a few things on the bass guitar. Proceeding with nothing in mind of anything becoming of it. A few months later, Todd would get a call one Friday night while grounded at home.  

Allen: The hell did you do?

Todd: Not too sure.  Something about school.

Allen: You know that bar that let's underage high school kids in only till 10pm? Somewhere Else Tavern?

Todd: I've heard of it.

Allen: Yeah? Well we got a gig next Friday.  

Todd: That's 8 days away!  We're not even part of a band.

Allen: Better write some songs. (CLICK)

After the surprising and expected success of "All In Due Time",  Daphne's follow-up album is set to drop New Year's Day.  So as soon as tghe ball drops, kiss your honey and pick up a copy.   "Until The End" is more focused on instrumentals than the previous LP making up the album pretty much split right down the middle between the usual banter and just pure musical tracks.  However, there's no lack on searing Marshall Amplifiers cranked at 10 per usual.  FunFact: Half of the tracks were what didn't make the final cut on "All In Due Time."
